Exploring, Learning, and Having Fun!

We had another great week! The kids got to be very hands on with their learning this week. They explored the properties of solids, sorted their word study words, played a game using 10's and 1's, wehad lots of time in centers and completed our first spelling test! Enjoy looking at the pictures of your students hard at work!

Ask your first grader to name 3 properties of a solid!

So Many Hard Workers

We had a great week last week. I love walking around during centers and seeing all the kids hard work as well as hearing the conversations that they are having about their learning.

We've Been Busy Bees!

We are really moving now! We have started centers, are working on an ABC book in writing and have completed two experiments in science! The kids are excited about their work and it shows.
Ask your child what their topic is for their ABC book. We have been working hard on these and the kids are doing great. There are so many great ideas flowing around our classroom.
We have also been discussing different generas of books. Can your child name the 3 generas we have discussed so far?
In math, we have been working on greater than and less than. The kids did great with their first set of math centers. We have also started problem solving!

It has been a busy few weeks with lots of hard work.
